VDS (Virtual Dedicated Server) or VPS (Virtual Private Server) – a service in which a physical server is divided into several virtual servers, which have their own core and are isolated from each other. When working with a virtual server, you have almost all the same features as with a physical one. On a virtual server you can install your own software, configure kernel settings, configure firewall and much more.
In our work we use KVM virtualization technology, which in turn uses hardware virtualization.
The benefits of this virtualization:
- Support for a large number of operating systems.
- Independent resource allocation.
- Each virtual server gets exactly as many resources as it is given.
- Direct interaction with the equipment.
